Setting Up Your E-Commerce Site
Although it may look complicated, setting up an e-commerce site so you can sell products online is a simple process. Read through this page to get answers to some frequently asked questions about online stores.
Once the site is set up, how do we update our products?
Once your site is ready to post, we'll come to your store and give you a walk-through of your site's password-protected administration page. On this page, you can add new products, control your inventory, and change other information about your store.
Do I need to be a computer whiz to maintain my store's products?
No! The administrative page is easy to navigate, and we're always here to help answer your questions until you get the hang of it. You will need to provide images of your products, so you'll need to know how to use a digital camera to take pictures and transfer them to your computer. You will also need to know how to use a photo or graphics editor to crop and resize your photos.
How will payments be processed on my site?
This is an important question that you will need to answer for us. There are two ways to accept payments for online stores: Payment Gateways, such as Verisign, or Payment Processors, such as PayPal. To help you make this decision, check out our Gateways vs. Processors page.
What about security?
Issues like credit card fraud and computer hackers have customers concerned that the sensitive information they enter on your site will be protected. Never fear. All of our e-commerce sites are created on secure pages that provide protection for your customers and liability protection for you.
